Choosing the Right Forex Broker

Filed under: Forex — dxball @ 10:11 pm

This is one of the toughest processes to the business of trade and for most of us this happens to actually be a necessity.  If you attempt to trade within the Forex market without a broker, then you are taking a higher, more substantial risk in this market, more so than any other.  The problem is, hiring the wrong broker can really get you into some majorly financial binds and can leave you sorting through a mess all on your own.  You should be thorough in your research when you are contemplating hiring a broker or brokerage firm to keep track of your financial portfolio.

The following are some really good tips to help you in selecting the right Forex broker specifically, but you can also use these tips for any kind of prospective broker you may be considering hiring.

The best brokers are always going to be able to provide you with a list of clients that have used them and are currently still using their services.  If the broker is smart, this is one of the first things he will offer you.  After all, typically the best advertising is word of mouth.  The reason you can trust this form of reference advertising is that I can promise you that if anyone of the broker’s clients have had issues with them, you will find out about it.  No one in their right mind is going to recommend a financial broker to you if they do a poor job or injustice in some way.  I have to note that this is not the only form of information you should use when making a decision.  Remember, there are some people out there that will never be pleased, with anything but if the broker or the brokerage firm knows their stuff, they will not refer you to the people who are like this.

How to go the extra miles?

What’s next?

1) Check your air filter. A clean air filter is the key to good fuel economy. A dirty air filter restricts the flow of air into the engine, which harms performance and economy. Air filters are easy to check and change; remove the filter and hold it up to the sun. If you can’t see light coming through it, you need a new one. Consider a K&N or similar “permanent” filter which is cleaned rather than changed; they are much less restrictive than throw-away paper filters, plus they’re better for the environment.

2) Check your tire pressure

Next to the air fitler, under-inflated tires are one of the most commonly ignored causes of crummy MPG. Buy a reliable tire gauge, check your tires when they are cold (driving the car warms up the tires and the air inside them, increasing the pressure), and keep them properly inflated. Use the inflation pressures shown in the owner’s manual or on the data plate in the driver’s door jamb.

3) Slow down

As speed increases, fuel economy decreases exponentially. If you one of the “ten-over on the freeway” set, try driving the speed limit for a few days. You’ll save a lot of fuel and your journey won’t take much longer. Just be sure you keep to the right, so you won’t impede the less-enlightened.

99 Ways to HyperMiling: Techniques and Knowhows

Filed under: Fuel Saving — dxball @ 8:18 pm

The buzzword for the fuel crisis era is hypermiling. So what is hyper-miling or how to hyper mileage?

The main idea of hyper mileage is to stretch every drop of your gasoline to the most mile or kilometer, better mpg.  So, how to achieve that?

The ultimate rules of thumb:

The non-devices ways

  1. Purchase your petrol when it’s coolest outside such as in the early morning or at night. Petrol becomes denser in cooler temperatures. Since the pumps only measure the volume of fuel – and not the density – you’ll get better overall gas mileage for your money by purchasing fuel when it’s cool outside rather than in the heat of the day.
  2. Religiously check your car’s tire pressure each month (make sure to purchase a good-quality dial-type gauge for yourself — pencil-style gauges and the ones mounted on the air hose are unreliable according to federal government surveys). Under inflated tires reduce fuel efficiency by 2% for every pound they are under inflated. Under inflation also causes premature tire wear giving your tires a shorter use life.
  3. Slow down and drive at the speed limit. Cars use about 20% more fuel driving at 160km/h they do at 90km/h. But try not to cruise at engine speed lower than 2000rpm!
  4. Avoid using air conditioning whenever possible. Air conditioning reduces fuel economy by 10% to 20%. Use the air ventilation system instead.

Home FengShui

Filed under: FengShui — dxball @ 2:35 pm

The ways to a fengshui-ed house:

  • There should  be no shoes or slippers lying around outside the main door of your  house.
Remove it if you can.   Allow that space at the main door to be free and clear.  The chi (energy)  rides withthe wind and will collect all  the smell of those shoes and slippers into your house causing sickness.
  • Ch’i then travels about in your house looking  for calm space or water features to stay but if there are no water fountains or fish tanks, then the  Ch’i will be dispersed by gutsy wind.
  • There  should be no television sets in your bedrooms especially opposite your bed:  If you cannot get rid of that habit then after  watching the television cover it with a plastic table cloth. Remember it has to be plastic and not simply  cloth.
  • There should be no mirrors opposite your bed or at the side of your bed. Mirrors opposite the bed can  attract a third party to the relationship.  Therefore, do not place mirrors  anywhere you like and especially in your bedroom.

Bedroom FengShui

Filed under: FengShui — dxball @ 1:31 pm

Some tips and taboos for bedroom:

  • Never sleep  in front of a mirror. It reflects  your image. This will lead to an unsuccessful relationship where your partner  may change his/her heart easily.
  • Never place any sharp objects on the writing table or anywhere in your bedroom when sleeping.
It is advised  to keep them in your drawer. When you are sleeping, your “yang” qi is lower; the  sharp objects will damage or lower your “Yang” qi the next day. Hence you will  always look restless even you have an 8 hours sleep. You properly do not have  the mood or energy to woo at girls.  For the ladies, you properly lose your  mood to pay more attention at the guy that you admire.  Soon, you will lose  the motivation of starting to get to know him/her more.
  • For those working, it is advise to take a  bath on every morning before you go to work.
You will look fresh and most of your “yin” qi will be  washed away by the water element. Hence, you feel much happier, neat and  confidence with yourself when wooing at the opposite sex.  You will attract  more attention from the opposite sex.  This also base on those people going  out for a first date. You will have a higher chance of getting more chances to  get more attention from a lady/man.  So take that in mind, bathe yourself  well.
  • Never place slippers/sandal in front of your bedroom door. Kick them  aside.  It blocks your way to your success in your relationship.

Feng Shui on Love/ Romance

Filed under: FengShui — dxball @ 1:22 pm

Love in an Office:
It is always not advised to fall in love with someone who is working or  sitting in the same office. Chances of development to deeper relationships are rare. This is due to the fire element in feng shui in an office.
However, unless the male colleague is sitting right in front of the female colleague where the female  colleague is sitting at the back facing the wall. If you like a male/female colleague who is sitting right in front of you (opposite face-to-face), a chance of success is rare.

Feng Shui for Romance:
This is specially Tips  & Hints for those who are busy searching for a life-partner.  Never place your own single photo in your bedroom. Most singles likes to do it.

It is always advise to remove it as soon as possible if you are at the age of marriage.  This seriously causes “sha” qi in your romance life. You stay and sleep in your bedroom every night and the “sha” qi to your romance became an object.  This causes a loneliness and tiredness in your romance. You always feel either unsafe or afraid of getting to start a relationship.  Never hang your own photo above your bed on the wall. You will never have the good feeling over any opposite sex. Hence, you will never have a good relationship.

If you like to place a photo, you can choose to place a group photo, family photo or a photo taken with  friends or siblings. You will soon have a chance to change it to a photo taken with your lover or husband.

Never put on a red colour bed sheet (refer to  those only red colours without any  floral designs or pictures) This  usually works well with couples and  creates more romance between the two of them. However, this reduces your chances for an opposite sex to fall in love with you. Or worst, they dislike you!

For those who are very eager to find a life-partner, it is always advised not to place any ornaments
that is odd in number (eg.1).  It would be encouraged to place them in a pair. Never ever place fish tank in a bedroom. It is advisable not to do that.

Water for Gas Tips: A Light at the End of the Tunnel?

Filed under: Fuel Saving, Hydrofuel — dxball @ 2:26 am

Gas prices are up higher than ever before and are set to go even higher. People are changing their vacation plans, jobs and even their lifestyles in an attempt to save on high fuel costs. But if you have ever heard about water for gas or alternative fuel enhancements and wondered if it was right for you then continue reading this article.

You probably have heard about water cars or running your car off water and thought “SCAM!” Well, let you in on some real facts about water for gas based alternative fuels.

Q: Does water for gas really work ?

Yes! The latest “craze” is based on a proven technological process that has been used for over 200 years. “Water electrolysis” is the method in which an electrical current is passed through some electrodes that are submerged in water and this causes the water to “split up” into its basic components (hydrogen and oxygen).

Fuel from Water – The History

Filed under: Fuel Saving, Hydrofuel — Tags: — dxball @ 2:23 am

Unless you have been living under a rock lately, you have more than likely have heard or seen ads touting “water for gas” or “fuel from water” on your TV and the Internet.

Okay, with gas at an all time high, you admit you are curious…so what is this water for gas stuff all about?

First let’s get some of the confusion out of the way. Since the 1870’s when American inventor and self-proclaimed “humbug” John Worrell Keely persuaded investors with his experiments in “ether liberation”, the concept of creating fuel from water or hydrogen fuel generation has always been a controversial one.

The History of Hydrogen Generation

Using electrical current to create hydrogen from water is really old news. It was back in 1800 that two Englishmen, William Nicholson, a chemist and naturalist, and his friend Anthony Carlisle, a surgeon discovered that they could use “water electrolysis” to separate H2O into oxygen and hydrogen.

A great discovery but nothing much happened after that since the process took a great deal of physical energy, usually by means of some guy rapidly turning a hand-powered crank generator to create an electrical current. Oddly enough the first working battery was also invented that year.

Hydrogen generation didn’t get its feet off the ground, no pun intended, until the 1900’s when the heyday of the dirigibles or airships started. At that time German Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin designed a fleet of ocean crossing ridge airships that used massive amounts of hydrogen in gas cells or bags for buoyancy. Zeppelin is believed to have used water electrolysis to create this lighter-than-air gas for his many airships.

After 1937, when the tragic accident with the hydrogen airship Hindenburg happened, using water electrolysis became limited to just industrial uses in manufacturing and aerospace or in school science fairs as classroom lab experiments.

But in 1966, an American inventor named William Rhodes patented a type of “water for gas” “oxyhydrogen” welding system for manufacturing and the jewelry business. His self-contained unit was the first to make “water electrolysis” compact and portable and “on-demand”. Hydrogen didn’t have to be stored in heavy metal bottles.

Later in Australia, a Dr. Yul Brown patented his own version of the “water electrolysis” welder. Brown has been accused of “borrowing” heavily from Rhodes’s 1966 patent, but “Brown’s Gas” machine is believed to have a simpler design than Rhodes. Brown sold his version of this process worldwide to other inventors, small shops and home owners.

While apparently Brown may have had limited financial success with his welding machine; it is his technology that is has become popular as the basis for most water for gas or fuel from water kits available on the market today.

So there is some real science behind the water for gas movement and in the fact that compact hydrogen generators do work and have been used in various industries for years.
